Absolutely Awesome – a week of activities for middle school students in the summer for students entering 6th thru those who have just completed 8th. Monday thru Friday evening activities, except for 1 full day at amusement park or similar.
Bible Quiz Team – a team that participates in 4 bible quiz rallies where questions are asked from a pre-selected book of the bible. This year they are quizzing from the gospel of John.
Momentum– Formally Brethren National Youth Conference - The goal of Momentum is to strengthen commitments to Christ, the local church and the local church youth group. Held at different universities across the nation, Momentum travels to all areas of the country allowing participants to experience different community and cultural activities.
C.C. – Calvert County C.E. – C.E. National – The purpose of CE National is to impact the church by serving as a catalyst for biblically accurate and culturally relevant ministries to children, youth and adults. "FHG" – Senior High “For His Glory” Ministry Team – for teens who want to make a greater commitment to leadership, discipleship and servant hood training. Develop gifts and talents, a heart to serve, and meet needs of the church and community. “Hands 4 Him” – Our senior high puppet team Living Proof – the name of the youth ministries at GBC
MH "FHG" – Mid High For His Glory NAC – Nurturing Abilities for Christ – program to help students develop God-given talents to serve the Lord and pursue excellence as they minister. NAC and Bible Quizzing nurture young people's abilities by:
OB – Operation Barnabas - teams of youth from Grace Brethren churches around the country. These teams travel over the summer in a specific region to encourage the local church with puppets, drama, and music. Teens also do door-to-door evangelism and labor projects around the church. OBI – Operation Barnabas International – a team going to a country outside of the U.S.
“Praising Puppets” – Our mid high puppet team
“See You at the Pole” or SYATP - is student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led. On this day students meet at their school flagpole before school to pray—for their school, friends, teachers, government, and nation. This is not a demonstration, political rally, or a stand for or against anything. It is normally the 3rd Wednesday in September. For more information visit www.syatp.org. Showcase Dinner – a dinner in which the youth showcase their talents & abilities from NAC. Also intended to be a family event for our church. Workathon - a fundraising opportunity for students to earn money for summer activities by doing work at individual's homes or the church. Student is credited for time through the use of timesheets.
YouthCue Choir Festival – an annual choir festival that brings together young musicians from across the country to join together in song and fellowship. Designed to foster the growth and development of youth choirs, these festivals have been instrumental by inspiring young people to sing and enjoy a truly first-class experience as they join with literally hundreds of their peers, accompanied by a professional orchestra.
